8.3 Setting the seed rate
1. The required setting values can be found in the table (page 74).
1.1 Metering wheel selection,
see section "Changing the metering wheel - Seeding shaft drive with one or two electric
motors", page 226.
1.2 Sliding shutter position,

1.3 Bottom flap position,

2. Calibrate the seed rate,

8.3.1 Bottom flap position
This setting affects the seeding rate.
Calibrate the seed rate after the adjustment.
1. Set the bottom flap lever (Fig. 182/1) in the
group of holes (Fig. 182/2) at the value from
the table (see page 74).
Always engage the bottom flap lever.

If the desired seed rate is not applied for spelt and other cereal crops,
place the bottom flap lever on the next higher table value
(see page 74).
Before transport, place the bottom flap lever of the seed drill on the
table value again. Otherwise the grain can exit from the seed housing
uncontrolled.
