5.10 Radar device
Implements without star wheel are equipped with
a radar device (Fig. 48/1).
The radar device (Fig. 48/1) is switched on
automatically when a speed is detected.
Provided that the control terminal is ready for
operation and the combination is in working
position.

The pulses from the radar device are used to calculate

the working speed


speeds.
Use of the radar device requires teaching-in the pulses over a calibration distance of 100 m, in
particular

before initial use

in event of different soils (slippage)

if the actual seed rate differs from the calibrated seed rate

in event of deviation between the displayed and the actual worked area.
