Proximity sensor
When the proximity sensor detects that the device’s screen is covered, the
screen is switched off automatically to prevent accidental selecting of settings
or accidental pressing of buttons, which might, for example, start a call.
The proximity sensor is located near the earpiece. See chapter
.
Getting to know the TETRA functionality
This section introduces some essential TETRA functionalities available in
Tactilon Dabat.
PMR operation mode
When you start up Tactilon Dabat for the first time, the TETRA services are
active in the network mode (TMO). You can change the TETRA mode from
TMO to direct mode (DMO), and vice versa.
Note:
Changing the TETRA mode (TMO/DMO) is not allowed during
an emergency call. If you attempted to change the TETRA mode during
an emergency call, the changing of the mode fails.
Switching the TETRA services off or on
You can switch the TETRA services off or on in the TETRA Settings or Quick
Settings. The change in the TETRA services’ status (on or off) is confirmed to
you by a dialog.
Off
No ongoing calls or someone else is transmitting in
the active group call, active express call or individual
call while the user is not pressing or holding the PTT.
During duplex calls, except when the duplex call is
queuing.
