When you answer the call, the call duration is displayed on the screen. You
can choose to route the audio to the loudspeaker or earpiece by pressing the
Loudspeaker
button. By default, the audio is routed to the earpiece or
accessory, if you have an accessory connected to the device. With the Mute
button, you can mute or unmute the microphone.
If E2EE is activated, an unencrypted express call is indicated by the red text
non-encrypted
and Encryption
icon displayed in the alerting view. You
can either answer or decline the call. If you answer the call, a clear call
warning tone is played at the beginning of the call and periodically during the
call if clear call warning tones are on.
If the decrypting of the E2EE call fails, it is indicated in the PMR Status Bar
and an error tone is played.
If you want to exit the full screen view, use the Android Back or Home button.
To return to the full screen view, tap the Android Status Bar.
If you want to end the call, press the End call
button. To call back to the
latest calling party, press the Redial
button briefly.
Changing of the call type
The network may change the call type in the call setup phase, if needed. It
may be changed, for example, if the call type is not supported by the network
or the called party’s device.
If you try to make an express call when the loudspeaker is off in the called
party’s device, the call type is changed into an alerting semi-duplex call. You
are informed of the changed call type with a notification in a snackbar and a
notification tone.
TETRA individual calls vs. 3GPP calls
Only one individual call can be active at a time.
•
If you answer an individual call while you already have a TETRA individual
call (duplex or semi-duplex) or 3GPP call ongoing, the ongoing individual
call is released.
