There are three different types of TETRA status messages:
status
,
callback
requests
and
situation indicators
. A callback request is a status message
type, with which the sender is requesting you to call the sender. Situation
indicators are always sent to the same recipient, which is defined by your
organisation.
Statuses my have a default recipient defined by your organisation, but you
can select the recipient(s) of the status.
The status messages are listed among all the other messages in the
My
conversations
view. If you want to view only the status messages, you can
filter them by selecting
in the overflow menu. The status
messages are listed in chronological order, with the latest status first.
Sending a status message or situation indicator
To send a status message, callback request or situation indicator in the
TETRA network:
1. Open the
TETRA Messaging
app.
2. If you want to send a new status, tap the Status message
button at the
bottom of the display.
To send a status message to a participant of a conversation instead, open
the
Single conversation
view and tap the Status message button there.
3. Select the status or situation you want to send.
The available statuses are listed in the
tab and the situations in
tab. If you want to send a callback request, select
which is listed as the first item on the
Tip:
To send a situation indicator quickly, use the Situation widget
on the
Home
screen. For more information, see chapter
4. Add recipients by selecting groups or contacts.
A situation indicator is always sent to the pre-defined recipient.
You can also search for a contact or add a new contact in this view.
5. Tap the
button.
