Calling a contact
You can make a duplex call to any of your TETRA contacts by tapping the
phone number in the
Single contact
panel.
Note:
You cannot start a new call if there is an individual call ongoing.
The ongoing call must be ended before you can start a new call.
1. Open the
TETRA Contacts
app.
2. Browse or search for the contact to whom you want to call.
3. Tap the contact’s name.
4. Initiate a duplex call by tapping the phone number.
You can also initiate a PTT call (express call or semi-duplex direct call) to
your contact by tapping the number in the
PTT call to
field. The
Phone
view
with the selected phone number is opened. If you press the
PTT
button in
the
Single contact
view, the
Phone
view with the default number of the
contact is opened. You can initiate an express call to this number as
described in chapter
.
If you press the
PTT
button in the
Phone view
while there is a group call
ongoing, the group call is disconnected and a semi-duplex direct call is
initiated.
Sending a message to a contact
You can send an SDS or status messages to a contact by using the single
contact panel.
1. Open the
TETRA Contacts
app.
2. Browse or search for the contact to whom you want to send a message.
3. Tap the contact’s name.
4. Tap the conversation
button, which is shown next to contact’s phone
number. In the
Conversation
view, you can send different types of
messages.
5. Type the text to the Text message field and tap the
Send
button.
