Semi-duplex direct calls
are connected without any action from the called
party. No ringing tone is played, but the device vibrates when the call starts. If
you have
Do not disturb
mode activated, the incoming semi-duplex direct
call is changed into a semi-duplex call in the device, so that you get an alerting
notification of the incoming call on the screen.
In duplex and semi-duplex calls, you can
choose to:
•
Answer
the call
- Swipe the Answer
button up in duplex call. Tap the Answer
button or press the PTT button in semi-duplex
calls.
•
Reject the call
- Swipe the Answer button
down in duplex calls or tap the Reject
button in semi-duplex calls.
•
Ignore the call
- Tap the Ignore
button
in duplex calls to ignore the call and silence
the alerting or press the
Volume -
button. If
you press the PTT button while there is a
silenced alerting duplex call, an error tone is
played, the display is switched on and the
alerting call view is shown to remind you that
you must complete the alerting call to be able
to initiate or participate in other calls. In semi-duplex calls, swipe the
notification away or silence the alerting by using the
Volume -
button. Note
that if you choose to ignore the call, the calling party is informed that the
call is alerting until the call is ended either by the calling party or the
system.
If you are using some application or for example browsing the call log when
you receive a duplex call, a heads-up notification is displayed at the top of the
screen. You can choose to answer, reject or ignore the call.
