If you have to wait for your turn to talk in the group when you press the
PTT
button, an information tone notifies that you have been placed in a queue.
When the call is connected and the speech item is granted to you, a
notification tone is played.
When you release the
PTT
button, a notification tone is played. If nobody else
requests the speech item, the group call goes to idle state and is eventually
released by the network.
When the network releases the call, a latency timer is set. During this time the
latest call information remains in the PMR Status Bar, unless you receive a
new call. If you press the
PTT
button during the latency time, a new call is
made to the latest active group. Note that a group call from a background
group does not have a call latency time.
Receiving a group call
You can receive group calls from all active groups in the selected folder, that
is, from the selected group, background groups and all scanned groups if they
are available.
When you receive a group call, the device vibrates and, a notification tone is
played and the PMR Status Bar indicates:
•
The name of the group from which the call is received.
•
The talking party’s name or number, with the Receive
icon in front of it.
If no talking party information is available, the text
Unknown
is displayed
instead of the talking party’s name or number.
