When the loudspeaker is off, the audio is routed to the earpiece and you
can speak in the private mode. The bottom microphone is used.
The loudspeaker is on or off until you change the setting again. You can also
change the setting during a call, but the setting is restored back to its original
value after the call ends.
The application saves the audio mode (loudspeaker or earpiece) when it is
closed. The latest active audio mode is used when it is started again. If an
accessory is connected to the device when the application is started, the
accessory mode is active.
Volume and muting are controlled via the
Volume
buttons.
Notifications
The TETRA notifications (message alert tones and call notification tones) are
routed either to the loudspeaker or earpiece based on the audio routing
setting. The notification tone is played on low volume during calls. If you
receive a TETRA notification while you are transmitting in a group call in
which the audio is routed via the loudspeaker, your device vibrates but no
notification tone is played.
Notifications received from the Android system and smartphone applications
are handled according to the Android settings and specifications on audio
routing. You are informed either by sound or vibration when there are no calls
or when there is an ongoing 3GPP call.
If you receive a smartphone application notification during a TETRA call, your
device vibrates but no tone is played. The Android system settings define
whether sound or vibration is used to inform you of system notifications during
a TETRA call.
Audio accessories
If there is an accessory (for example, a headset) connected to the device, the
audio is routed automatically via the accessory. If there are multiple
accessories connected to the device (for example, a wired headset and a
Bluetooth headset), the audio is routed the latest connected accessory by
default.
