Effect on the System
The system clock PLL cannot be locked properly when the 1588 reference clock source
is taken as the system reference clock source. The system performs changeover to other
reference clock source through the clock protection function.
Possible Causes
l
The local clock is faulty.
l
The 1588 Master clock at the remote end is faulty.
Handling Procedure
1.
Reset the RCUB board and check whether the alarm is cleared. If no, go to step 2.
2.
Replace the RCUB board.
3.
Ensure that the 1588 Master clock at the remote end operates properly.
