7.3 SMSR Measurement

Procedure

You can measure SMSR from the measured waveform of a DFB-LD.

Press

ANALYSIS

. The soft key menu for analyzing measured waveforms

appears.

Press the

ANALYSIS 1

soft key. The analysis function selection menu is

displayed.

Press the

SMSR

soft key. Analysis is performed, and the results are displayed in

the data area.

Mode peak

Side mode

SMSR

Data area

When changing the analysis parameters

Continuing on from step 3, press the

PARAMETER SETTING

soft key. The SMSR

measurement parameter setting screen is displayed.

Move the cursor with the arrow keys or soft keys, and enter a setting value with

the numeric key pad. To switch SMSR1 and SMSR2, press the

SELECT

soft key.

Press the

CLOSE WINDOW

soft key. The SMSR measurement parameter setting

screen closes, and the soft key menu returns to the previous stage.

Press the

ANALYSIS EXECUTE

soft key. Analysis is performed according to the

changed parameters, and the results are displayed in the data area.
