This menu includes co mmo n and specific parameters
related to the Arpeg g iato r and Step Sequencer.
Arpeg g iato r and Step Sequencer parameter setting s are
vo ice data saved in each vo ice.
The Arpeg g iato r lets yo u play arpeg g iated cho rd patterns
at the press o f a key. There are 3 0 Arpeg g iato r patterns to
cho o se fro m fo r each vo ice, and Arpeg g io Subdivide plus
Play Effect parameters g ive yo u a wide rang e o f co ntro l
and custo miz atio n o ver the arpeg g io pattern.
The Step Sequencer lets yo u create yo ur o wn 1 6 -step
arpeg g iated patterns by assig ning no te, velo city and o ther
events to each step (beat) in the lo o ped sequence. Yo u can
create a Vo ice Pattern fo r each vo ice, as well as create
and sto re a to tal o f 1 2 8 User Patterns. Yo u can trig g er the
patterns fro m the keybo ard in a variety o f ways.
Step Sequencer record, edit and play parameters are available in the SEQ
EDIT/ SETUP menu. For details, see page 8 9 .
To start the Arpeggiator or Step Sequencer pattern, press the [ ARPEGGIO/ SEQ]
switch.

Co mmo n parameters are related to bo th the

parameters available, including Arp/ SEQ , Type/ N o
(N umber), KbdMo de (Keybo ard Mo de), Ho ld, and

The Arp/ SEQ setting desig nates either the Arpeg g iato r
o r the Step Sequencer to play when the
[ARPEG G IO / SEQ ] switch is o n. Either o ne o r the o ther
can be desig nated to play fo r each vo ice.

Fo r selecting an Arpeg g iato r pattern type when
" Arpeg g io " is desig nated in Arp/ SEQ . W hen " Step
SEQ " is desig nated in Arp/ SEQ and KbdMo de is set
to " sel&no rm" o r " sel&shift" , yo u can assig n a User
pattern number to the C# 1 key fo r Pattern Select play
(see C# 1 Assig n, pag e 4 0 ). W hen " Step SEQ " is
desig nated in Arp/ SEQ and KbdMo de is set to " no rm"
o r " shift&no rm" , " SEQ " will be displayed in the LCD,
and no setting can be made. Step Sequencer patterns
are desig nated in the SEQ EDIT/ SETUP menu (see
pag e 8 9 ).
C#1 Assign determines the first accessed
User Pattern number
D1 plays the next highest User Pattern number
(above C#1)
D#1 plays the next highest User Pattern number, etc.
