Alg ori thm
The Alg o rithm setting determines ho w the two VCO 1
o scillato rs (master and slave) are co nnected in relatio n
to the FM sig nal. There are fo ur types o f co nnectio ns,
o r “ alg o rithms” , as sho wn in the diag rams belo w.
Settings:
o nly FM, Sync+FMbth, Sync+FMmst, Sync+FMslv
When set to " only FM" , the master and slave oscillators are disabled and the
VCO1 becomes a single oscillator.
For more information about Sync and FM, see pages 3 1 , 5 9 .

Sync Pi tch
The Sync Pitch setting determines the pitch o f the slave
o scillato r in semito nes, available o nly when the Sync is
o n. This lets yo u create a difference in pitch between
master and slave o scillato rs and co ntro l the resulting
harmo nic interval.
W hen the kno b is in the center po sitio n, the pitch is the
same as the master o scillato r. Turning the kno b to the
rig ht increases the interval, and turning it to the left
results in a so fter so und.
Settings:
-6 4 ~ 0 ~ + 6 3
To achieve a discernible result, make sure the VCO1 Level ( page 6 6 ) is turned up
high enough.
The Sync Pitch function is effective only when the Algorithm type is set to one
besides " only FM" .
Sync Pi tch De pth
The Sync Pitch Depth setting determines the amo unt o f
depth o f co ntro l fro m the Sync Pitch So urce (determined
by the Sync Pitch So urce setting , belo w) o ver time.
Turning the kno b to the rig ht increases the Depth.
Settings:
-6 4 ~ 0 ~ + 6 3
