The So urce setting determines which co ntro ller (by
Co ntro l Chang e number) is assig ned to co ntro l the
co rrespo nding Parameter.
You can set the source by Control Change number or by controller name, as
shown in the Settings listed below.

Depending on selected Parameter, the available Source for assignment may be
different. For details of available parameters, see the table of Control Matrix
parameters in the separate Data List book.
You cannot assign the same Source controller and Parameter to more than one
set. If you attempt to, lower-numbered sets will take priority, and " – – – " will
appear in the LCD for higher-numbered sets.
When you select [ RIBBON] controller " A.RbX" as the " Source" controller and Pitch
Up/ Pitch Down as the " Parameter" , the [ RIBBON] controller value will be reset to
the center position when you release your finger from the [ RIBBON] . The sets
with different Parameters ( other than Pitch Up/ Pitch Down) keep the position at
which you release your finger.

Direct Control Function
W hen Depth " Dirct" is selected (0 setting ), the Direct Co ntro l
functio n is activated, and yo u can directly edit the parameter
assig ned to the co ntro ller within its o rig inal rang e.

Utility Control Assign Function
There are two types o f Co ntro l Chang e assig nment
functio ns— the Co ntro l Matrix and the Utility Co ntro l Assig n
functio n. Between the Co ntro l Matrix and Utility Co ntro l
Assig n functio n (see pag e 9 5 ), yo u can co nfig ure a
so phisticated co ntro ller setup to co ntro l specific parameters o f
the internal to ne g enerato r and an external to ne g enerato r at
the same time by the eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs and o ther
co ntro llers. Co ntro l Chang e assig nments made in the Utility
Co ntro l Assig n functio n are sent to bo th MIDI [O UT] as well
as the Co ntro l Matrix, where it can be rero uted at will befo re
reaching the internal to ne g enerato r. External Co ntro l
Chang e sig nals received at MIDI [IN ] can be ro uted thro ug h
the Co ntro l Matrix to co ntro l the AN 1 x to ne g enerato r
parameter o f yo ur cho ice.
