Storing Step Sequences
Depending o n whether the Step Sequencer is in Sing le
Pattern Play o r Pattern Select Play status, yo u can do the
fo llo wing :

Perfo rm a Vo ice Sto re o peratio n to sto re the current Vo ice
Pattern data in the Vo ice edit buffer as vo ice data (in
Sing le Pattern Play status).
For information about performing a Voice Store operation, see page 9 8 .

Perfo rm a Sequence Sto re o peratio n to sto re the currently
selected pattern to any User Pattern memo ry (in Sing le
Pattern Play o r Pattern Select Play status).
SEQ Store O pera tion
1 . Press SEQ Store [UP/ DO W N ] to select the user
pa ttern loca tion. “ SURE? [Y/ N ]” a nd “ Ba nk
User” fla sh a lterna tely in the LCD.
2 . Press [YES/ EN TER] to store the pa ttern, or [N O ]
to ca ncel the opera tion
The SEQ Store operation temporarily stores the pattern currently playing to the
pattern edit buffer, so be sure to perform a Voice Store operation ( see page 9 8 )
before selecting another voice.

Yo u can use the MIDI Pattern Transmit Channel (“ PtnTxCh” )
parameter to desig nate a MIDI channel o n which to o utput
the Step Sequencer pattern data, to either play an external
to ne g enerato r o r reco rd the data into a MIDI sequencer o r
co mputer.
This setting is independent fro m the MIDI Transmit Channel
(“ MIDI Tx Ch” ) in the UTILITY SETUP menu (see pag e 9 3 ),
but yo u can either set them bo th to the same channel o r
different channels, depending o n yo ur requirements. The
diag ram belo w sho ws an example o f ho w they can be set
to different channels to co ntro l two different external to ne
g enerato rs.

PtnTxCh” ) , see page 8 7 .
The MIDI PtnTxCh setting is a system parameter, and will not be saved as voice
data.
