The Step Sequencer’s Ctrl N o (Co ntro l N umber)
parameter lets yo u determine the type o f MIDI Co ntro l
Chang e which can be o utput upo n sequencer play.
O nce the Co ntro l N umber is set, the Co ntro l Chang e
event is selected with Kno b Event parameter
[UP/ DO W N ] and the value to be o utput via each step
is edited with the CO N TRO L kno bs. Fo r mo re

Functi on
Co ntro l parameters in the UTILITY SETUP menu let yo u
desig nate the type o f Co ntro l Chang e messag es which can
be co ntro lled by the [MO DULATIO N ] wheel, each o f the
eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs, the [RIBBO N ] co ntro ller (X-axis
and Z-axis), etc., by assig ning Co ntro l Chang e numbers to

Based o n setting s in the Co ntro l Assig n functio n as well as

co ntro l o ne parameter o f the internal to ne g enerato r and
ano ther parameter o f an external MIDI device, bo th at the
same time. It also lets yo u determine which device (MW ,
FC, etc.) to use fo r Scene Co ntro l (see pag e 2 0 ).
