HPF
(High Pa ss Filter Cutoff)
The HPF setting determines the cuto ff frequency o f the
Hig h Pass Filter. Frequencies abo ve the setting are
passed while tho se belo w are cut o ff. Turning the kno b
to the rig ht increases the HPF Cuto ff frequency,
resulting in a brig hter so und.
Settings:
0 ~ 1 2 7
This High Pass Filter is applied to the signal after the mixer, and is different than
the one available in the VCF Type.
V CF Type
The VCF Type setting determines the type o f filter used
by the VCF. The VCF passes o nly a specified rang e o f
frequencies while cutting o ff the rest, to g ive yo u
versatile co ntro l o ver the timbre. There are six types o f
filters, as described belo w.
Settings:
LPF2 4 , LPF1 8 , LPF1 2 , BPF, HPF1 2 , BEF
LPF2 4 , LPF1 8 , LPF1 2
The Lo w Pass Filter passes o nly tho se frequencies belo w the
specified cuto ff po int. A cuto ff curve o f 2 4 dB/ o ctave (LPF2 4 ),
1 8 dB/ o ctave (LPF1 8 ) and 1 2 dB/ o ctave (LPF1 2 ) can be
selected.

BPF
The Band Pass Filter passes o nly tho se frequencies in the
specified rang e, with a cuto ff curve o f 1 2 dB/ o ctave.
HPF1 2
The Hig h Pass Filter passes o nly tho se frequencies abo ve the
specified cuto ff po int, with a cuto ff curve o f 1 2 dB/ o ctave.
BEF
The Band Eliminate Filter passes o nly tho se frequencies
o utside the specified frequency rang e. The Reso nance setting
(see pag e 6 5 ) determines the eliminate rang e.
The filters listed above apply to the signal output from the HPF located between
the Mixer and VCA. For more information about the signal path, see page 1 0 .
