provides an extensive resource of RS232 Commands that are formatted specifically
for use with Universal Dragon. The
XIST Command and Documentation Matrix
includes the RS232
Command Groups, in addition to manufacturer documentation for protocol and connectivity. To download
RS232 Commands from the XIST Code Library:
1.
Via the
Internet
, navigate to
www.xantech.com
or with
Universal Dragon
running, in the
Favorites Menu

click
Xantech Home Page
.
2.
On the
Xantech Home Page
, click
Products
.
3.
On the
Xantech Products Page
click
Software
.
4.
On the
Software Page
under
Support Documents
, click
Xantech XIST Code Library.
The
XIST
Command and Documentation Matrix
will appear.
5.
Scroll the list until you find the link for the
Command Group
for the
Brand/Component
to be controlled.
6.
The
File Download Window
will appear. Click
Save
.
7.
Navigate to a location that will be easy to remember such as:
C:\Program Files\Xantech\Universal
Dragon vX.X\Palettes
. Click
Save
.
8.
In
Universal Dragon
, in the
Palette Editor
, click the
Import Icon
(
). The
Open Window
will appear.
9.
Navigate to where the
Command Group File
was saved in
Step 7
. Using the
Files of Type pull-down
,
select
Legacy Palette Files [*.pal;*.rsl].
The saved file and all other .rsl files should appear.
10.
Click the
File
to be imported. The
Import Palette Window
will appear with a Progress Bar to indicate
activity. When File Import is complete, click
OK
.
11.
Navigate the
Brand/Component List
to open the imported
XIST Command Group
.

Importing Discrete IR Hex Codes
Remote Central has a database of discrete power on/off, input codes, sound and picture modes
plus other hard
to find commands that are not typically available from a manufacturer’s remote. To Import Hex codes, the
Palette Editor Window
must be open.
1.
In the
Menu Bar
, select
Favorites
, then
Remote Central
. Your internet browser will open and take you to
http://www.remotecentral.com
.
2.
Click
Files
on the
Remote Central Home Page
.
3.
Click
Philips Pronto & ProntoPro Classic
.
4.
Scroll down the page and click
Discrete Infrared Hex Codes.
5.
Click the appropriate
Brand
for the codes to be imported.
6.
Click on the appropriate
component type
(CD players, VCR's, etc.).
