heavy network traffic is.

QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING

questions and answers about CATV measurement hints and tips.
If you cannot obtain understandable or expected results from the
SAM 4040D, the following at the most common causes. Double-
check these:
•
Wrong channel plan selected or ‘cloned’. Scroll through setup to
manually check the channel frequencies. The SAM 4040D will
generally present the audio carrier on the speaker, so channels
are easily recognized.
•
Start and stop, center, or other display settings ‘squeezed’ or
‘slid’ off-scale or set to a point in the 1 GHz spectrum where no
channels are located.
•
Connections to splitters, couplers, diplexers, etc., in use to
‘patch’ the SAM 4040D are bad or wrong.
