6. When you have finished editing the Channel/Frequency in

this screen, press the 

Exit 

icon and return to the 

Edit

Channel Plan

 menu.

NOTES:

1. Enabled: (Enables the instrument to monitor the channel)
Y/N If the channel is not enabled it will not be included in any
measurement mode. At least one channel must be enabled.

2. Type: Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll through the
selection offered in the Edit Box. When you select TYPE, the
program offers four choices in the Edit Box. Press the Edit
Box icon to highlight choices, and use the up/down arrow
keys to make the choice. For each of the four choices shown
below, the screen displays the channel parameters
applicable, for you to examine and edit as necessary.
Channel type shows in the upper display to the left of the
channel number as: DIGI, DUAL, SNG, TV, or SWP.

The four choices are discussed below, and in Table 10-1,
Carrier-Types and Parameters.

Digital Carrier(DIGI)- Can be used for continuous digital
carriers. Digi is supported only in the Level, Sweep,
Spectrum and Scan measurement modes.  An RMS
detection mode measures the level of a digital channel.

Video + Dual Audio Channels(DUAL)- European system,
incorporates video plus two independent audio carriers.

Single Carrier(SNGL)- Can be used as a carrier for FM or
data.

Video Channel(TV)- Includes standard video carrier with
audio carrier offset.
