CHAPTER 9: MAINTENANCE
9.1 GENERAL
This section covers routine tasks that the Service Technician may
perform on the StealthTrak and Stealth instruments.
9.2 VISUAL, PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL
INSPECTION
Make sure all hardware is properly installed and tightened.
9.3 RF CONNECTOR REPLACEMENT
The RF connector is used often to attach the unit to the cable
system. As time passes, this will cause wear on the connectors and
they should be replaced.
To replace the connector:
1. Carefully unscrew the connector from the unit using a 7/16-inch
wrench.
2. Screw the short end of the new connector into the unit. A longer
connector could cause internal damage to the unit. Remember to
use a lockwasher.
3. Torque the connector to not more than 5.0 - 6.0 IN.-LBS.
9.4 BATTERY TERMINAL CLEANING
Clean the battery terminal regularly (examine weekly for signs of
corrosion or contamination). One acceptable method of cleaning is
to use a hard type eraser (such as one for erasing ink; do not use the
soft "moldable" types).
