Clearly define
tramlines
Prevent driving mistakes
It is important that the spreading patterns overlap well to ensure good
distribution.
A difference in the overlapping is less vital with average working
widths, using a triangular spreading pattern.
Differences in the spreading pattern are easily noticed with a
trapezium pattern on large working widths, however. The overlap of
the spreading patterns is much smaller then and therefore more prone
to mistakes.
This can be prevented by clearly defining tramlines before hand.
You can do this by marking the tramlines at the headlands with:
•
sticks with empty bags,
•
pickets,
•
special display boards.
Visibility from headland to headland is very important. Place additional
markers in the field if necessary to ensure that the track is clearly
visible.
Setting out tramlines
electronically
If the tractor is equipped with driving a speedometer, the control
system can assist you to set out the tramlines.
If you have entered the required working width, the control system can
indicate when you must place a further marker.
Specify the tramline pattern that you want to set out as described
in the following section »Tramline patterns«.
Specify the place where the first marker should stand on the
headland and place it.
Drive the tractor to the marker until an identification point, for
example the front wheel, is right beside it.
Switch the control box on.
Check the set working width and modify it as needed.

If you have not entered the working width correctly, then check the
other settings too!
From the main screen:
Press the key switch in the main screen to go to the ‘Curve
Calibration’ screen.
Press the 'Start' field to start setting out the tramlines.
Drive the tractor straight across the headland.
You will see an increase in the value in the field for the ground covered
since the previous marker. An alarm signal goes off 2 meters before
you have covered the same distance as the set working width.
