Switch the left spreading disc off by pressing the close key in the
main screen. The left dosing unit remains closed while spreading.
Switch the automatic calibration off by pressing the manual/auto
key in the main screen. A hand will begin to flash in the screen on
the right below the spreader.
Engage the PTO shaft and set the RPM of the spreading discs as
given in the relevant spreading chart.
Open the right dosing unit by pressing the start key.
Drive over the first trough and stop only after you have driven at
least 20 metres past this trough. The spreader in particular
distributes approximately as far to the rear and side.
Close the left dosing unit by pressing the stop key.
Empty the trough with a funnel into the graduated tubes and record
the reading in your notebook.
Repeat the above procedure, but disconnect the right spreading disc
and switch the dosing unit of the right spreading disc off. Put the
troughs on the left side of the tractor track.
Drive with the same speed and with the same PTO shaft rpm as
the first run.
Assessment
Record the values you find in the graduated tubes for the left and
right spreading discs.
Compare the values, calculate the percentage differences
between the measuring tubes on the left and the right.
Adaptation
If the spreading patterns on the left and right spreading discs are not
the same and the difference is greater than 3% you may do the
following, or have your dealer do so:
Check if the machine is hanging horizontally behind the tractor in
length and width.
Perform the »Check the settings of the dosing mechanism« as
described on page 189 and repeat the test.
Perform the »Checking and setting the discharge point setting
mechanism« as described on page 192 and repeat the test.
If the difference in the spreading pattern is too great, contact your
dealer.
Setting the disc height back to tray test
During the tray test the disc height above the troughs was set to 75
cm.
Imagine spreading with the disc height at 75 cm above the ground
or crops!
