UPPER MOUNT INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

____________________________________________________________________________________________

6. Install azimuth drive left side guardrail (item 6) to rotating frame

using 14 bolts (item 100), 28 washers (item 101), and 14 nuts (item
102).

7. Install azimuth drive rear guardrail (item 7) to rotating frame using 12

bolts (item 100), 24 washers (item 101), and 12 nuts (item 102).

8. Install azimuth drive front guardrail (item 8), corner angle (item 19)

and front toe rail (item 20) to rotating frame using 14 bolts (item
100), 28 washers (item 101), 14 nuts (item 102), corner angle (item
19), and front toe rail (item 20).

9. Install azimuth drive right side guardrail (item 9) to rotating frame

using 12 bolts (item 100), 24 washers (item 101), and 12 nuts (item
102).

10. Torque all guardrail fasteners to values listed below:

3/8-inch Fasteners

31 ft-lbs (42 Nm)

11. Install wire rope to guardrails as shown in Figure 3-7 using 6 eye

bolts (item 112), 6 washers (item 113), 6 nuts (item 114), 3 snap
hooks (item 115), and 12 wire clips (item 116).

Install the miscellaneous platform hardware in accordance with the
following instructions.

Platform Hardware

1. Attach man-hole cover (item 15) at location shown in Figure 3-7.

2. Attach man-hole cover (item 16) at location shown in Figure 3-7.

3. Install azimuth frame standpipe (item 17) using 2 bolts (item 103), 4

washers (item 104), and 2 nuts (item 105) at location shown in Figure
3-7.

4. Attach hub access tread plate (item 10) using 4 hex head bolts (item

100) and 8 flat washers (item 101), and 4 nuts (item 102) at location
shown in Figure 3-7.

5. Install azimuth frame standpipe (item 17) using 2 hex head bolts

(item 103), 4 flat washers (item 104), and 2 nuts (item 105) at
location shown in Figure 3-7.
