As fasteners are installed, tighten finger tight only, until specifically directed to torque a fastener.

_____ Set bottom tapped onto a sturdy platform which will allow access to four corner bolt holes.
CAUTION

Mount damage can occur if the platform plates are not properly aligned. Ensure proper
plate alignment is maintained as described in the following steps.

_____ Set and align mounting plates onto two tapped plates. 2-12
_____ Set and align top plates onto two lower plates.

_____ Secure plates together. 2-12
_____ Attach six top skin mount angles.

_____ Install flat washers and hex nuts on anchor bolts, 1-inch above pad.

_____ Lift column into position and secure to pad with four flat washers and hex nuts. 2-13
_____ Install remaining five columns as described above.

_____ Align and attach bearing ring assembly to top of six columns.
NOTE
It may be necessary to raise or lower some of the column legs using the nuts on the column base in order to
properly align the platform plate assembly to the tops of each column.

_____ Attach bottom skin plates using hex bolts, flat washers, and hex nuts.

_____ Install right and left door hardware and skin assemblies.

_____ Install floor edge beam A (see Figure 2-8).

_____ Install floor edge beams in order of F, C, D, E, and B.

_____ Attach stair opening beam.

_____ Place center support beam into position (center support beam is removable). 2-15
