Backup
Perform Virus Scan
Perform virus scanning and detect infected files. By default, infected files are
neither cleaned nor backed up. The activity log on the client is updated with
the total number of scanned files and infected files.
Clean Infected File
Clean infected files before backing them up. By default, infected files that
cannot be cleaned are not backed up. The activity log is updated with infected
file names and associated virus names.
Backup Infected File
Include infected files in the backup. This is not recommended because a restore
can then propagate the virus to other systems (unless Perform Virus Scan is
selected for restores). The activity log is updated with the infected file name
and its associated virus name.
Restore
Perform Virus Scan
Perform virus scanning and detect infected files. By default, infected files are
neither cleaned nor restored. The activity log on the client is updated with the
total number of scanned files and infected files.
Clean Infected File
Clean infected files before restoring them. Infected files that cannot be cleaned
are not restored. The activity log is updated with infected file names and
associated virus names.
