NetBackup System Administrator’s Guide - Windows NT Server
5
• The servers can be masters or slaves and can be running either Windows
NT or UNIX.
• An administration client must be running Windows NT (server or
workstation). The Setup program for the Windows NT NetBackup server
has an option for installing the administration programs on a Windows NT
client.
In the following figure, the administrator can use the administration interface
on any of the systems to manage the NetBackup configuration on slater or
trout.
The NetBackup administration interface provides either a change server or
change host command in all windows and dialog boxes where remote
administration applies. For example, assume you are running the interface on
slater and want to add a class to the configuration on the server named trout.
1. In the Backup Policy Management window, click Change Server on the
Class menu.
2. Type trout in the Change Master Server dialog box and click OK.
