NetBackup Properties

D
To Deny Lists and Restores for Selected Users On a Client
(applies only to Windows NT, 98, and 95 clients)
1. On this tab, leave the setting for this client at the default (Allow).
2. On the client, change the setting to Deny and give the selected users read
access to the Deny key.
Bandwidth
The Bandwidth properties tab specifies limits for the network bandwidth used
by one or more NetBackup clients on a network. The limiting occurs on the
client side of the backup connection and applies only to backups. Restores are
unaffected. By default, the bandwidth is not limited.
The following topics explain the settings on this tab. For more on bandwidth
limiting, see “Bandwidth Limiting” on page 154.
Bandwidth Settings For These Machines
Lists the clients in the range of IP addresses that were added.
From IP Address
Specifies the beginning of the IP address range of the clients and networks to
which the entry applies. For example:
10.1.1.2
To IP Address
Specifies the end of the IP address range of the clients and networks to which
the entry applies. For example:
10.1.1.9
Bandwidth
Specifies the bandwidth limitation in kilobytes per second. A value of 0
disables limiting for the individual client or the range of IP addresses covered
by this entry.
For example, a value of 200 indicates 200 kilobytes per second.
