Calibration Procedure
Calibrate the temperature controllers as needed, following the steps below:
1.
Measure the temperature of the seal shoe at the end of the thermocouple with a tempera-
ture probe.
2.
Check to see if the temperature reading on the controller is different than that of the
probe. Calculate the difference, if any. This difference is the
Calibration Offset Value
.
For example, if the controller reading is 140 degrees C and the probe reading is 115
degrees C, then the
Calibration Offset Value
should be set at -25 degrees C.
3.
To adjust the
Calibration Offset
value, press the green
Advance
Key
to scroll through in
the
Operation Menu
screens until
i.CA
is displayed.
