TM-500 User’s Guide

Sensor Adjustments

1.

Loosen the (2) screws on the 

Carrier Tape

Reel Arm

 so the 

Carrier Low Sensor Mount

can be adjusted.

2.

The 

Carrier Tape Sensor Rod 

has one end

which rests on top of the carrier tape in the
Carrier Tape Reel so sense how full the reel
is. The other end is positioned in between the
two prongs of the Sensor.

Manually raise the 

Sensor Rod 

so the end

that is touching the tape in the 

Carrier Tape

Reel

 is positioned at the minimum level of

Carrier Tape that will be required to complete
the job. 

3.

 Move 

the 

Carrier Low Sensor Mount

 so the

other end of the 

Sensor Rod

 is positioned

between the prongs of the Sensor.

4.

Tighten the (2) Sensor Mount screws and
release the

 Sensor Rod

.

The 

Carrier Low Sensor

 is now ready for operation.

If the operator attempts to run a job when the carrier
tape is low, operation will stop, a beep will sound and
an error message will appear on the HMI.
