1. Replace the syringe correctly.

2. Prime the line, ensuring that the plunger is kept in the
slider to prevent the solution from being delivered to
the patient. (See pages 38 and 58.)
• An occlusion has occurred in
the infusion line.
• Eliminate the cause of occlusion. (See page 136.)
• Flow rate accuracy is low.
• Syringe has not been installed
correctly.
• Check the setting of the syringe.

match the syringe brand set on

• Check that the syringe brand setting matches the brand
of the syringe in use.
