2.6 Shim adjustment at the upper part of the
boom head (outer box)
(Section [6])
(1) Temporary adjustment:
Set the standard number of shims and insert the
inner box to the outer box until in front of 1 m
(3.28 ft) from the boom full retraction. Adjust the
shims so that the clearance shall be as minimum
clearance.
(2) Make sure the difference between the right side
clearance and the left side clearance shall be
0 mm.
(3) Refer to Table 5 about the amount of shim.

(4) Final adjustment:
After telescoping the boom several times, adjust
with maintenance telescoping mode. In the state
that the inner box is extended 1 m (3.28 ft) from
the boom full retraction, adjust the shims so that
the clearance shall be as minimum clearance at
both left and right side.
(5) Apply a thread locking agent (ThreeBond 1401 or
the equivalent) to the bolt.
