12. Counterweight/boom mounting
/dismounting position detection
switch (right) (CN1538) and
switch (left) (CN1539)
12.1 Rear side adjusting procedure
[NOTICE]
Adjust with slewing the boom backward and
elevating the boom at around 70°.
(1) Check the rear position
• Set the counterweight down on the carrier frame.
In that state, make sure that the left and right
clearance between the counterweight and the
counterweight positioning support is in the
4 ± 2 mm (0.16 ± 0.08 in).
• Retracting the counterweight cylinder, lift the
counterweight up.
At this time, operate the remote controller
maintaining the counterweight horizontally as
possible.
(2) Adjusting the switch
• Install the proximity switches (right)/(left) to the
base plate (slewing table side) under the cab.
• Connect CN1538 to the switch (right) and CN1539
to the switch (left).
• Loosen the switch (right), and manually move it to
a detection position from a non-detection position.
When OFF turns ON (orange), move it 1 mm
(0.04 in) further and fix it.
• Then loosen the switch (left), and manually move
it to a detection position from a non-detection
position. When OFF turns ON (orange), move it
1 mm (0.04 in) further and fix it.
(*1): • Apply a thread locking agent (ThreeBond 1401
or the equivalent) to the threaded section of
the switch.
• Switch fixing nut tightening torque
: 40 to 50 N-m (4.1 to 5.1 kgf-m)
(29.5 to 36.9 ft-lbf)
