Processing Instructions

Operator Manual

920011-649

10. Determine if endoscope requires an insertion tube sleeve as

follows (see Figures 4-4 and 4-5):

NOTE: Insertion tube should fit easily with no force applied.

•

Locate three diameter template slots in front of endoscope

processing support.

•

Place portion of insertion tube closest to bending rubber into

smaller of template slots. If insertion tube fits in this slot, use

insertion tube sleeve labeled with a

RED

dot.

•

If insertion tube does not fit into this slot, go to next template slot.

•

If insertion tube fits into next template slot, use insertion tube

sleeve labeled with a

BLUE

dot.

•

If insertion tube does not fit into this slot, go to next template slot.

•

If insertion tube fits in this larger slot, use insertion tube

sleeve

NOT labeled

with a color dot

(split insertion tube

sleeve).

NOTE: Some endoscopes have a distal tip that is larger than
the insertion tube diameter. These endoscopes will fit into a
template slot but the distal tips will not fit into the designated
insertion tube sleeve. Use the split insertion tube sleeve
(NOT labeled with a color dot) to process these endoscopes.

•

If insertion tube does not fit into any template slot, endoscope

does not need an insertion tube sleeve.
