LEAK TEST PORT 1: PRESSURE NOT REACHED (Cont’d)

6. Perform self-diagnostic to determine if leak comes from

hose assembly (use plugs already provided). If yes,

change and lubricate endoscope connection O-ring (refer

1. Hose assembly 2 not connected to endoscope.
2. Major leak in endoscope 2 or in system.
3. Air blockage within pneumatic block.
4. Hose plug not used or removed from extremity of leak test

hose assembly during self-diagnostic test. Go to

Step 7

Cycle is automatically aborted. User is required to:

1. Connect endoscope if not connected and restart

processing cycle. If unsuccessful, go to

Step 2

2. Verify soaking cap of endoscope. Replace soaking cap if

necessary and restart a processing cycle. If unsuccessful,

go to

Step 3

3. Perform dry leak test according to endoscope

manufacturer recommendations. If no leak is detected, go

Step 4

4. Perform wet leak test according to manufacturers

recommendations. If no leak is detected, go to

Step 5

5. Perform self-diagnostic without hose assembly to

determine if leak comes from processor system. If yes, call

STERIS.* If not, go to

Step 6

6. Perform self-diagnostic to determine if leak comes from

hose assembly (use plugs already provided). If yes,

change and lubricate endoscope connection O-ring (refer

ECTIONS

and

6.14

) or change hose assembly. If

not, call STERIS.*

7. Ensure hose plug remains properly in place on extremity of
