8.2 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES - RWG500 LABEL REWINDER
The RWG500 Label Rewinder is an external unit that allows labels to be rewound in rolls up to 10.4” (
265 mm)
in diameter. The rewinder derives its power using a built-in cable connected directly to the printer’s
EXT
connector. The rewinder facilitates the rewinding of labels from the printer and subsequently unwinds the
media for use with applicators.
8.2.1 To install the Label Rewinder
1.
Position the rewinder next to the TG3 Series printer. Put it
on the left or output side of the printer. Align the rewinder’s
lower or first roller with the printer’s media ejection slot.
Note:
Please do not attach the supplied base plate as it is not suit-
able for this printer used.
2.
Connect the built-in cable from the rewinder to the
EXT
connector at the rear of the printer.
3.
Feed the lead end of the label stock over the first or lower
spindle, under the tension arm, then onto the rewind spin-
dle. Wind the stock around the rewind spindle once, and
then slide the metal clip over the label stock. Wind another
revolution to ensure the stock is secure on the spindle.
Stock must be loaded and wound tightly between the
second spindle and the rewind spindle before you begin
operation.
