Administering SX II Using command line interface
This section is specific to tasks performed using command line interface.
For information on performing tasks in the SX II Remote Console, see
Administering SX II from the Remote Console (on page 71).
Change Your Password Using CLI
Note: This feature can also be configured from the Remote Console. See
Change Your Password from the Remote Console (on page 27).
Important: If the administrator password is forgotten, SX II must be reset
to the factory default from the Reset button on the rear panel and the
initial configuration tasks must be performed again.
Enter
admin > password
to access the menu.
When creating a password via CLI, it cannot begin with a space or end
with a space. This does not apply to creating passwords in using the
Remote Console.
