5.4.3 CLEANING THE AIR FILTERS

Air filter

(1) securing slide lock, (2) air filter cover

DANGER

Before proceeding to dismantle filter, reduce pressure in supply conduit. While
dismounting the filter slide gate, hold the cover with the other hand. Stand away from filter
cover vertical direction.

Depending on trailer working conditions, but not less than once in three months, take out and

clean air filter elements, which are located in pneumatic system connection conduits. Filter

elements are used many times and are not subject to change unless they are mechanically

damaged.

Scope of maintenance activities

Reduce pressure in supply conduit.

Pressure in conduit can be reduced by pressing the head of the

pneumatic connection until resistance is felt.

Slide out securing slide lock (1) – figure (5.9).
