Performing an
advanced search
Advanced search features
You can use the ID-4000 advanced search feature to
perform more complex searches than those described
above. Specifically, the advanced search feature
retrieves records according to any of the following
criteria:
•
With fields exactly matching specified values
•
With fields not matching the specified values
•
With fields containing values greater than the specified
value
•
With fields containing values greater than or equal to the
specified values
•
With fields containing values less than the specified
values
•
With fields containing values less than or equal to the
specified values
•
With fields matching wildcard specifications
•
Without data in specified fields
•
With data in a specified fields
•
With fields containing values between two specified
values
You can also use AND, OR and NOT logical operators for
combinations of the above criteria. (See
Sample search
statements on page 4-22 for examples.)
In addition, the advanced search feature allows you to
sort the retrieved records according to the value of any
field. For example, you can choose to sort by last name
to display the retrieved records alphabetically by last
name.
