Color scanner
The Polaroid color scanner offered as an option with
ID-4000 systems digitizes portraits for incorporation in
photo-identification badges printed by the ID-4000.
Portraits captured with the scanner are also stored on
the ID-4000 for a variety of uses, including reissue and
identity verification.
ID-4000 systems equipped with the scanner can capture
portraits from photographs as a substitute for portraits
captured by the ID-4000 portrait camera. This permits the
use of file photographs or portraits taken remotely with
instant or conventional cameras for photo-identification
badges.
The scanner accepts photographs and other documents
up to 4
×
6 inches, in color or black-and-white. During the
scanning procedure, the user can choose the area of the
photograph to be captured.
