Capturing an
authorizing signature
An authorizing signature is a single signature printed on
every card as a counterfeiting deterrent. It is often the
signature of a company executive or security department
official.
An authorizing signature should not be confused with an
applicant signature, which is usually captured at the
same time as an applicant’s portrait on appropriately
equipped ID-4000 systems. While an applicant signature
can also be printed on the badge, it is different for every
badge and is used to help verify the badgeholder’s
identity.
You can capture a new authorizing signature if your
ID-4000 system meets the following requirements:

It is already set up to print an authorizing signature.
•
It has the optional signature tablet installed.
•
It displays the Update Signature button at the top of the
Administration window.
