Laser printer

The laser printer provided as an option with ID-4000
systems prints black-and-white text and graphics for
dossiers and reports. It can also be used for printing with
other Windows applications provided with the ID-4000.

The laser printer is a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printer or
equivalent, similar to the one shown above.

Additional printer
instructions

When appropriate, this section refers you to separate
instructions provided with the printer. Note that some
sections of the separate instructions may not apply to
the printer when it is used with the ID-4000.

Turning the printer on
and off

Refer to the instructions provided with the printer for the
location of the power switch. Turn the printer on

before

turning on the computer. When turning the ID-4000 off,
turn the computer off before turning off the printer.

Loading paper and
cartridges

For printer paper and cartridge specifications, and for
paper and cartridge loading procedures, see the
instructions provided with the printer.

Using the printer

To print with the laser printer, follow the instructions in
the appropriate section of this manual. (Options such as
the report-writer and dossier-printing produce output on
the laser printer.) For printing with other Windows
applications, see

Microsoft Windows User’s Guide.

maintenance

Refer to the instructions provided with the printer for all
