The photograph appears in the preview box.

Click and hold the mouse pointer in the center of the four
framing bars in the preview box, then move the mouse
to reposition the framed area around the applicant’s
head. When the framing bars are positioned as desired,
release the mouse button.

Caution: To avoid distorting the captured image, do not
change any of the following settings in the Control Panel:

Verify that the Image Type box is set to Color. If it is not,
click on the right side of the box to display a list of image
types. Then choose Color.

To capture the area within the framing bars and continue
with the badge-issuing or image-capturing sequence,
choose the Scan button.

To abandon the scanning operation instead, choose the
Done button.

Tonescale, color or
sharpness adjustment

If necessary, you can adjust the tonescale, color or
sharpness of a scanned image from the color scanner
Control Panel. To do so, choose the More button to
display additional buttons for these adjustments. Then
choose the desired adjustment type to display a dialog
box for that adjustment.

Choosing the Help button in each dialog box displays
instructions for adjusting the image. The back cover of
the scanner instruction book illustrates the effects of
changes you can make.

Note: Any changes you make in these dialog boxes
affect only the next image scanned. After each scan, all
values reset to their defaults.

correcting feeding problems, replacing the power fuse,
