Connecting your TV and playback components
Connecting using HDMI
If you have an HDMI o r DVI (with HDCP) equipped component (Blu- r ay disc playe r (BD), etc.), you can connect it to
this r eceive r using a comme r cially available HDMI cable.
If the TV and playback components suppo r t the
Control
with HDMI featu r e, the convenient
Control
with HDMI
functions can be used (see
Control with HDMI function
on page 67).
• When connecting to an HDMI/DVI-compatible
monito r using the HDMI OUT 2 te r minal, switch the
HDMI output setting to HDMI OUT 2 o r HDMI OUT
ALL . See Switching the HDMI output on page 76.
• Fo r input components, connections othe r than HDMI
connections a r e also possible (see

DVD player with no HDMI output
on page 29).
• If you want to listen to the sound of the TV ove r the
r eceive r , connect the r eceive r and TV with audio
cables.
