Authorizing this receiver
In o r de r to be able to play with Home Media Galle r y, this
r eceive r must be autho r ized. This happens automatically
when the r eceive r makes a connection ove r the netwo r k to
the PC. If not, please autho r ize this r eceive r manually on
the PC. The autho r ization (o r pe r mission) method fo r
access va r ies depending on the type of se r ve r cu rr ently
being connected. Fo r mo r e info r mation on autho r izing this
r eceive r , r efe r to the inst r uction manual of you r se r ve r .
Playback with Home Media Gallery
Important
• When you play back audio files, ‘Connecting...’ is
displayed befo r e playback sta r ts. The display may
continue fo r seve r al seconds depending on the type
of file.
• In case a domain is configu r ed in a Windows netwo r k
envi r onment, you cannot access a PC on the netwo r k
while you a r e logged onto the domain. Instead of
logging onto the domain, log onto the local machine.
• The r e a r e cases whe r e the time elapsed may not be
co rr ectly displayed.
1 Set the remote control operation selector switch to
SOURCE.
2 Press HMG to select Home Media Gallery as the
input function.
It may take seve r al seconds fo r this r eceive r to access the
netwo r k. The following sc r een appea r s when the Home
Media Galle r y is selected as the input function. The
numbe r next to indicates the numbe r of connected
se r ve r s.
The se r ve r without the ma r k cannot be accessed.
3 Use
/
to select the category you want to play
back, and then press ENTER.
Select a catego r y f r om the following list:
• Internet Radio – Inte r net r adio
• Neural Music Direct – Inte r net r adio that suppo r ts
Neu r al Su rr ound
• Server Name – Se r ve r components on the netwo r k
•
Favorites
– Favo r ite songs cu rr ently being r egiste r ed
• Recently played – Inte r net Radio listening histo r y
(most r ecent 20 incidents)
Depending on the selected catego r y, the names of
folde r s, files, and Inte r net r adio stations a r e displayed.
4 Use
/
to select the folder, music files or Internet
radio station to play back, and then press ENTER.

to sc r oll up and down the list and select the
desi r ed item. When you p r ess
ENTER
, playback sta r ts
with the playback sc r een being displayed fo r the selected
item. To r etu r n to the list sc r een, p r ess RETURN .

Only audio files with the ma r k can be played. In case of
the folde r s with the ma r k, use

and ENTER to
select the desi r ed folde r and audio files.
5 Repeat step 4 to play back the desired song.

cont r ol of this r eceive r . Note that some buttons a r e not
available fo r ope r ation depending on the catego r y
cu rr ently being played back.
• Set the r emote cont r ol ope r ation selecto r switch to
SOURCE , then p r ess HMG to switch the r emote
cont r ol to the HOME MEDIA GALLERY ope r ation
mode.
