• You don’t need to p r og r am the r eceive r to switch on
o r off. This is done automatically.
With Pioneer components , you don’t need to:
• p r og r am the powe r to switch off in a shutdown
sequence (except DVD r eco r de r s);
These take p r io r ity in multi ope r ations (not shutdown).
8 Repeat steps 5 to 7 to program a sequence of
commands.
9 When you’re finished, use
/
to select ‘EDIT
EXIT’ from the menu and press ENTER.
You will r etu r n to the r emote cont r ol Setup menu. Select
EXIT SETUP
to exit.
Using multi operations
You can sta r t multi ope r ations with the r eceive r switched
on, o r in standby.
1 Press MULTI OPERATION.
MULTI OPERATE flashes in the display.
2 Press an input function button that has been set up
with a multi operation.
The r eceive r switches on (if it was in standby) and the
p r og r ammed multi ope r ation is pe r fo r med automatically.

Using System off
1 Press MULTI OPERATION.
MULTI OPERATE flashes in the display.
2 Press

SOURCE.
The command sequence you p r og r ammed will r un, then
all Pionee r components will switch off

Controlling components
This r emote cont r ol can cont r ol components afte r
ente r ing the p r ope r codes (see
Selecting preset codes
directly
on page 79). Set the r emote cont r ol ope r ation
selecto r switch to
SOURCE
, then p r ess the input function
buttons to select the component.
• TV CONTROL on the r emote cont r ol a r e dedicated to
cont r ol the TV assigned to the TV ope r ation selecto r
switch. If you have two TVs, assign the main TV to the
TV ope r ation selecto r switch.

1 With this r emote cont r ol, the IR and RF modes can be selected sepa r ately fo r the individual input functions. To pe r fo r m a multi ope r ation on
a device (input function) fo r which the IR mode is selected, point the r emote cont r ol towa r d the r emote senso r on that device.
2 In o r de r to avoid accidently switching off a DVD r eco r de r that is cu rr ently r eco r ding, no DVD r eco r de r powe r off codes a r e sent.
