IPMI Custom Commands
The Zircon UL PM supports the following IPMI commands that are issued by PM on the local
I2C bus to the local CPU.
Table 2-11, “Custom Command Structure,”
outlines the custom
command structure:

Set GUID
0x07
Writes the GUID to the PM. The PM will use this value in response to a
"Get GUID" command.
Get Firmware Version
0x08
Returns four bytes (ASCII) that translate into the PM firmware version.
Diagnostic Echo
0x09
Used for diagnostic testing, returns the data passed in the request.
Get Slave Address
0x0a
Returns two bytes, first is the geographical address of the target,
second is the IPMB slave address.
Set Self Test Results
0x0b
Writes the POC test results to the PM.
Application Booted
0x0c
Notifies the PM that the application is running, and the blue (hot swap)
LED should be turned off.
Application Halted
0x0d
Notifies the PM that the application is halted, and the blue (hot swap)
LED should be turned on.
Shutdown Request
0x0e
Requests the PM to initiate a shutdown.
Firmware Update Commands
Identify Chip
0x00
Returns information on the flash memory component based on the
"Requested Flash Family" parameter.
Erase Sector in Flash
0x01
Erases the selected sector in flash memory.
Write to Flash
0x02
Programs flash memory.
