HOT SWAP BLUE LED - This switch places the front panel blue hot-
swap LED under the control of software and the on-board IPMC.
Normally it should be enabled.
• Enable - Software and the IPMC controls the hot-swap LED.
Normal position.
• Disable - Software and the IPMC does not control the hot-swap
LED.

FORCE POWER ON - This switch bypasses the CompactPCI hot-
swap BDSEL#

signal. It is used to force the CPC324 to power on
regardless of backplane or chassis type. It should be normally
disabled.
• Enabled - Force blade to power on.
• Disabled - Do not force blade power on.
Normal position.
1. BDSEL# is used on CompactPCI hot-swap backplanes to control blade back-end power. On non-hot swap backplanes this
signal is usually ground.

BREAK DETECT - This switch allows the 440GX MPU to reset on
serial port break detect. It should be normally disabled.
• Enabled - Reset on console port break detect.
Normal position.
• Disabled - Do not rest on console port break detect.

GIGSELA - This switch is used to set RMII and Ethernet PTMC
connection options on PTMC slot 1 and 2.
• Port 2 RMII connections (see
Table 3-3
below).
• Port 2 10/100/1000Base-T connections (see

GIGSELB - This switch is used to set RMII and Ethernet PTMC

JTG_TRST - This switch is used for factory diagnostic purposes to
enable JTAG component chain.
It should always be left on to
disable JTAG functions

• Enabled - JTAG Test Reset off.
• Disable - JTAG Test Reset on.

CPU JTAG RST - This switch is used for factory diagnostic
purposes to isolate 440GX JTAG header. Switch this to off if the
JTAG based debugger is attached during power-on sequence as
the debugger may hold TRTS high and prevent the TAP controller
from being reset.
This switch should always be left on to disable
JTAG functions
.
• Enabled - 440GX JTAG reset off.
• Disable - 440GX JTAG reset on.
