The Calibration submenu allows you to set the calibration mode that the scale will use
when you request it (or when it occurs automatically; see below).
Table 4-10 on page 4-14 provides an explanation of each Calibration option with all
possible values (default settings are shown in
bold text
).

External External calibration with an optional,
Parata-supplied, 200-gram weight

Ext. user-def. weight External calibration with a user-defined weight
NOTE: The weight of the external, user-defined weight
must also be set (see “Calibration weight”
below).
Internal Calibration with the internal calibration weight
only occurs when you press and hold the
Tare key
within an application and select Calibration .
Automatic Automatic calibration with the internal weight
based on temperature change, or at a certain
time of day, or both.
NOTE: The Automatic Mode and its associated Time
and/or Temperature must also be set
(see “Automatic Mode”, “Temperature diff.”,
and “Time” below).
Automatic Mode [ Time, Temperature, Time & Temperature ]
Defines the time and/or temperature at which the scale automatically
recalibrates using the internal calibration weight.
NOTE: Only available in Automatic calibration mode.
Temperature diff. [ 2 C , n C ], where:
n Whole number between 1 and 10, inclusive
Defines how much the temperature has to change to trigger automatic
calibration with the internal weight.
NOTE: Only available in Automatic calibration mode.
