5 Do one of the following:

Press the 10 Pcs soft key, if you used ten pieces as a sample.

Press the VarPcs soft key to specify any number of pills, enter the quantity, and then press
the Enter soft key.
NOTE You can customize the preset sample sizes (see “Piece Counting menu” on
page 4-36).
6 At this point, the weight display changes to recognize the number of items that you selected.
7 Pour items into the scoop or vial (or remove them) until the desired quantity is displayed.
The scale remembers the programmed piece weight and continues to use its value for
counting until you decide to count a different item or until you press and hold the
Menu
key to exit the application.
8 To count a new batch of the items, place another empty scoop or vial on the pan, press the
Tare key, and repeat step 7.
WARNING!
The previously calculated item weight remains in the AccuCount II memory until you enter
a new sample piece count, press the
Clr Pcs
soft key, or quit the application. If the scale is
left unattended for any period of time, Parata recommends that you re-sample the piece
weight (steps
2 through 6)
before resuming.
By using the same scoop or vial, you can quickly count out repeated batches of that
particular item without re-referencing.
